Area 48 ceasing operations

Attention airsofters of the Bay Area and players of Area 48:

Area 48 will cease operations effective immediately as requested by the City of San Jose. While we would like to be able to host games for our community, we will comply with this request until further notice.

The city of San Jose has requested that we shut our doors as there was a complaint filed citing the sale of alcohol.

Team Ares and the Area 48 staff want to be clear in that alcohol and drinking have never been a part of our events and we do not permit alcohol at any of our events. We have never sold or would sell alcohol to the players at Area 48. We refute the validity of this complaint as Area 48 is an upstanding field with an excellent record of safety and security hosting events since 2010 with a large following of players in the bay area.

We respectfully request that anyone with information about this claim please contact us directly so we can learn more about the reason for this complaint.
